Salah Machouche holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Bouzareah University, Algiers, Algeria, a Master’s degree in Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage, and a Ph.D. in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His academic pursuits focus on Islamic spirituality, early Islamic education, Qur’anic approaches to critical thinking, Ibn Khaldun’s intellectual contributions, and Islamic creativity. Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Machouche facilitates workshops on creative thinking and problem-solving and is actively engaged in developing accessible modules on Islamic spirituality for the wider community. His diverse body of research and publications spans themes such as spiritual intelligence, human capital, thinking Styles and learning, integrating piety with science, critical thinking, Islamic spiritual responses to drug addiction, and nursing ethics. Machouche is dedicated to designing impactful, user-friendly spiritual-social cognitive programs and workshops aimed at addressing the needs of the Muslim community, fostering holistic development and well-being.

My Education Philosophy

Education is a multifaceted process encompassing trust, knowledge, wisdom, skills, and experiences acquired through diverse scientific approaches. It requires a nuanced understanding of the student’s psychological, cognitive, and social contexts. This process achieves its highest efficacy when it fosters an open dialogue between instructor and student, transforming the latter into an active explorer or investigator, while the former assumes the role of a guide and mentor. Education transcends the mere transmission of information; it plays a pivotal role in shaping the student’s character and equipping them with the skills necessary to uphold ethical principles. Consequently, education can be regarded as a holistic endeavor that molds individuals capable of contributing to the betterment of their communities and humanity as a whole.
