{"id":28,"date":"2021-12-23T18:55:49","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T18:55:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/sinanmarufoglu\/?page_id=28"},"modified":"2022-10-22T19:46:35","modified_gmt":"2022-10-22T19:46:35","slug":"about-me","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/sinanmarufoglu\/","title":{"rendered":"Short Bio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Prof. Sinan Marufo\u011flu obtained his Ph.D. from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marmara.edu.tr\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Marmara University<\/a> , Istanbul, 1997.<\/li><li>He appointed as researcher at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/oae.marmara.edu.tr\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Institute of Middle Eastern Studies and Islamic Countries at Marmara University<\/a>, 1993-1997.<\/li><li>He appointed as Assistant Professor at the Department of History, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mcbu.edu.tr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Manisa Celal Bayar University<\/a> in Turkey in 2000, and he promoted to Associate Professor in 2005,<\/li><li>He appointed as Associate Professor at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.qu.edu.qa\/artssciences\/departments\/humanities\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Humanities at Qatar University<\/a>, 2008-2014.<\/li><li>He promoted to Professor degree from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mcbu.edu.tr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Manisa Celal Bayar University<\/a> in Turkey in 2014.<\/li><li>He appointed as Professor at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.qu.edu.qa\/artssciences\/departments\/humanities\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Humanities at Qatar University<\/a> in 2021.<\/li><li>His main research fields are on the social and economic history of the Ottoman Empire and the Arab provinces in the Ottoman era.<\/li><li>He has many published books, articles and papers presented at the international conferences in Turkish, Arabic and English languages.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Sinan Marufo\u011flu obtained his Ph.D. from Marmara University , Istanbul, 1997.
