Her work spans from questionnaire development, data analysis using SPSS and Stata, to report writing and editing.
\nWhile still a student, Semsia was an English peer tutor at the QU\u2019s Student Learning and Support Center, and later on an administrative coordinator at the Honors Program. She was the president of the Honors Student Association (2012) and received several awards for both her academic and professional achievements, among which the most notable was the Excellence Medal at graduation for her 4.0 GPA.<\/p>\n
She is currently completing her Masters degree (MSc) in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford, UK.
\nAlong with her colleagues from SESRI, she presented a poster on \u201cThe Issues of Migrant Workers in the Gulf Cooperation Council\u201d at the 2014 American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) conference, Anaheim, USA. As part of the SESRI-University of Michigan collaboration, Semsia attended the Summer Institute for Social Survey Research and received certification for Applied Questionnaire Design and Survey Methods & their Application in International Settings,\u00a0Ann Arbor, USA\u00a0(2014).<\/p>\n
