Both of these labs are very similar, but are offered to different student cohorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This lab is an introduction to some of the techniques used in molecular biology. The laboratory reinforces and introduces some basic general laboratory skills and some of the methods that have been used to help us understand molecular and cellular processes. It also gives students some exposure to reading and writing scientific literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are three hours of laboratory work per week. While most of that time is spent performing experiments, there is also some time devoted to experimental data analysis and to the reading and production of formal scientific communications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
