Rajab Abdulla Al-Esmail is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the College of Business and Economics, Director of the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education, and former Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Business and Economics.  A senior academic with more than 25 years’ experience in management, accounting, higher and continuing education, professional development and community service. He received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Glasgow and is a faculty media award-winning commentator on Qatari educational and economic issues.

He serves as Chair of QU Goods & Services, Rentals, and Consulting Pricing Committee, Chair of Strategic Planning Committee, and Member of Institutional Effectiveness Committee.  Additionally, he has held membership in numerous professional associations: Board Member,  GCC Accounting & Auditing Association; Founding Board Member, Qatari Certified Public Accountants; Member, Ministry of Justice Expert Committee; Member, American Accounting Association; and, Chairman, Scientific Accounting Association.
