One of the greatest accomplishments a person can make is having a positive\u00a0effect on a child. One hour a day with a child is a long time wherein the child can be nurtured and guided to make him\/her a wonderful and confident person who can achieve big in their life. The passion for Engineering is something, for many, which wears out once he\/she gets admitted to engineering. The depth of the topics which are on fray, weigh them down and many drop out and forget about their passion. It’s we educators who should keep their passion ignited and make it flare up so that they reach their goal.<\/p>\n
It is my passion\u00a0to help every\u00a0student\u00a0develop strong reasoning and analytical skills that are necessary in understanding engineering. \u00a0Engineering is a field which works with logic. \u00a0If we, as educators do not dedicate time to allow students to explore that logic, students are left to memorizing procedures and rules. \u00a0Every child has the potential to learn the content at rigorous levels, and I push students every day to prove that to themselves.<\/p>\n
The art of teaching is a very noble profession and that is what guided me to be an educator. I envisioned helping students who struggled to learn, and see the excitement in a student\u2019s eyes when they finally understood the content.\u00a0 This is\u00a0what led me to the teaching profession. \u00a0 After embarking on the journey, I figured out that it takes\u00a0more time and dedication to achieve this. What an engineering educator should strive to achieve is not to pass on knowledge, but to imbibe in a student the necessary skills and techniques to use knowledge in solving engineering challenges. At the same time, effort has to be put in to make them relate to their responsibility towards the society and the world and to follow the ethical and professional guidelines set for the betterment of the society.<\/p>\n
