I love to share my knowledge about the the Earth and its environment to my students, I believe our future depends on how we treat our environment. During last 14 years of teaching range of courses at various universities both as a Lecturer and Laboratory Instructor; I have enjoyed my trip so far and have gained more experiences as a teacher.

As an environmental Science teacher, I believe that field trips, sampling practices and onboard experiments makes a big difference to the Classroom or Lab based teaching. There fore each semester I go to the field with my students.

Apart from teaching ,I have also co-supervised/assisted as first reader with more than 10 students (B S.c & MSc) for their Senior Project/Thesis on collaboration with Dr.Mohammed Abu-Dieyeh, Dr. Mohammad A. Al-Ghouti, Dr.Radhouane Ben-Hamado, Dr.Jassim Al-Khayat, Dr.Perumal Balakrishnan,Dr.Najib and Dr. Juha Alatalo.

Environmental Science Program

MARS 101, 222, 251 and 458 laboratory sessions: Teaching 1-3 sessions every Fall/Spring semester which involves both lab lecture and Experimental Demonstration. Students will be provided with Lab manuals and Presentations. Each week lab activities will be evaluated on the basis of lab reports and Quizzes. For each week activity we have developed experimental videos to support students learning process.

Field trips to the Costal Regions of Qatar (Al-Khor, Al-Thakira, Al-Wakra) will be arranged for each courses to apply the experimental knowledge gained through the labs both on sampling and analysis.

BIOL 452 Molecular Analytical Techniques laboratory sessions: Teaching 2 sessions every Spring semester which involves both lab lecture and Experimental Demonstration. Students will be provided with Lab manuals and Presentations. Each week lab activities will be evaluated on the basis of lab reports and Quizzes. For each week activity we have developed experimental videos to support students learning process.

Molecular Analytical techniques lab familiarizes the students with most of the sophisticated equipment that are used in the environmental sciences studies. So students are conducting 4 experiments (Sample preparation, Analysis, data interpretation) in the Department of Biology and Environmental Science Labs and other experiments are conducted in Central Laboratory Unit (CLU), College of Arts and sciences, Qatar University.
