Dr. Hocine Merabet from Qatar University, has twenty five years of experience in accelerator-based atomic physics using many spectroscopic methods.  He has participated in many ion-atom collision experiments using ECRIS at GANIL, France, Hahn-Meitner Institute, Germany, and the University of Nevada, Reno, USA, as well as photon-ion experiments at the Advanced Light Source (ALS) at Berkeley Lawrence National Laboratory, California, USA.  He has advised many Master students in the field of AMO physics and co-advised three Ph.D. students at the University of Nevada, Reno.  Dr. Merabet has published more than 125 articles in peer reviewed journal and/or contributed paper in international conferences.  Dr. Merabet has lead as the principal investigator (L-PI) a funded NPRP project entitled “Plasmon Assisted Frequency conversion layer for Solar Cell” for the total amount of US 746356 from April 2016 to June 2020.
