Biography

Dr. Muhammad Abdul Hadi is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Practice at the College of Pharmacy. He is a pharmacist by training and completed his PhD in pharmaceutical health services research from the University of Leeds in 2014.

Prior to joining Qatar University, he was an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Policy at the University of Birmingham, UK. At Birmingham, Dr. Hadi was the Programme Director of the Independent Prescribing Programme and Chair of the School of Pharmacy’s Research Ethics Committee. In the past, he has held various academic at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, Monash University Malaysia, Umm-Al-Qura University (Saudi Arabia), University of Leeds (UK), and De Montfort University (UK),

Dr. Hadi’s main research interests include: health services research, medicines safety, use and optimization and pharmacy education. He is a research methodologist and likes to work across different clinical disciplines.  He has successfully supervised MSc and PhD students to completion. Dr. Hadi has published over 95 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Hadi is also the Associate Editor of BMC Health Services Research and and section editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice. He is a mentor for the Pharmacy Research UK and faculty at the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK and the Royal Society of Public Health. His name was recently included in the top 2% of scientists published by Stanford University and Elsevier.
