Al-Hitmi<\/strong> was born in 1968 in Qatar. He received his B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering in 1992 from Qatar University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in 1994 and 2002 respectively from The University of Sheffield in control engineering. He is currently an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering at Qatar University, Doha-Qatar.
