Karma Sherif is a Professor of Management Information Systems at the College of Business and Economics. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Information Systems from Texas A&M University. Karma has published articles in top-tier MIS journals such as MIS Quarterly, Decision Support Systems, Journal of the Association of Information Systems, Information & Management, and Journal of Knowledge Management. She has taught courses on Enterprise Systems, Business Intelligence, Project Management, Programming, Electronic Commerce, Systems Design, and Knowledge Management Systems. Her research focuses on enterprise system controls, the effect of social networking on career success, and the effect of mobile technology on compliance. She has exclusively focused on qualitative research methods and developed expertise on effective techniques for data collection and data analysis in case and field studies.
