Biography<\/span><\/h1>\n

Dr. Kishor Kumar Sadasivuni is currently working as a Research Assistant Professor and the group leader of SmartNanoSolutions at Center for Advanced Materials, Qatar University. Dr. Kishor\u2019s research has its roots from the analytical chemistry he mastered during his Master\u2019s degree at Andhra University, India. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of South Brittany at Lorient, France in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Yves Grohens and Prof. Sabu Thomas. He has to his credit vast experience in postdoctoral research as he was in this position firstly at the Inha University in South Korea (Prof. Jeahwan Kim Supervisor, 2014) and then two times at Qatar University (Prof. Mariam Al-Madeed,2015 and Prof. John-John Cabibihan,2017) He was appointed to the Center for Advanced Materials at Qatar University in 2018 as a Research Associate from which he has been promoted to his present designation as Research Assistant Professor in June 2021. He has been included in the world\u2019s top 2 % of scientists according to a list compiled by Stanford University in the year 2019-2024, he was recently honored by the QU. He has enormous knowledge and valuable experience in his field owing to over 12 years of active research experience. Dr. Kishor has more than 250 research articles published in international peer-reviewed journals with a total citation of 17780 and h-index 74. He is also the author of 20 book chapters and the editor of 14 books. His books were included in Springer Top 25 e-book download of the year 2020.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kishor is an expert in nanomaterials engineering, especially sensing and flexible electronics. He has a keen interest towards development of different devices based on smart materials by engineering IoT. Such composites find useful applications in sensors, electro-active lenses, memory devices, energy storage devices and actuators. These devices have their applicability and end-users in security systems, biomedical devices, agriculture sector, waste management, sensors and other industrial fields. Some of Dr. Kishor\u2019s inventions are protected by 2 US patents and 2 Indian patents and presently 5 patent disclosures have been submitted by him. His strong academic background and passion for research is remarkable and reflected in his fast paced career growth.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kishor\u2019s enthusiastic and sincere approach towards research work is reflected in the forms of various grants and awards offered to him. He is a group leader and is presently the lead principal investigator for 11 research projects, covering the NPRP, MME, UREP, IRCC grants of Qatar National Research Fund and the Qatar University. He is also involved in other three research grants as the principal investigator, summarizing a total grant amount of 3M$. Dr. Kishor is a team player and has collaborated actively with researchers (more than 450 co-authors as evident from the Scopus data) in several disciplines of computer science, biomedical sciences, industrial engineering, and electrical engineering from all over the world (USA, France, South Korea, Oman, Spain, Italy, Australia, Malaysia). Dr. Kishor\u2019s achievements have been recognized by several awards such as Tyre & Rubber Industry Leadership Acknowledgement Awards (TRILA); Young Research Scholar of the Year 2017. Dr. Kishor is serving as the managing editor for Emergent Materials, the QU supported Springer-Nature journal. He is also serving as the chair of the conferences\/workshop committee at Center for Advanced Materials and has successfully organized more than 5 international conferences and 3 workshops as lead organizer. He has also delivered more than 8 keynote lectures and 10 invited talks.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kishor is a growing researcher in the field of polymer science and nanotechnology. Even in these tough times of pandemic he has actively carried out research work with a vision to develop smart materials that can benefit the society. His research is mainly concentrated on developing devices based on nanomaterials and their nanocomposites applicable in various fields such as high-performance piezoelectric devices, flexible electronics using piezophototronic effect, energy storage devices, nanogenerators, sensors and Actuators. The experience in the field of conductive fillers such as carbon nanotubes, graphene-based materials and polyaniline will be utilized to develop conductive polymer nanocomposites applicable in electronics (flexible and non-flexible). In addition, the 2D nanomaterials and its modification for exploring electronic devices will help to figure out more strategies in technology-related research.<\/p>\n
