Having earned Master’s  degree in Metallurgical Engineering from internationally reputed Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in September 1975, I am associated with Mechanical & Industrial Engineering department of University of Qatar since November 1992.

My research interests areas in materials engineering are materials science, manufacturing processes, corrosion engineering and failure analysis.

I had presented a paper on ‘Electrophoresis – A method of coating Ceramics on Steel’ in a conference on Electronic & Ceramic Materials held at Hyderabad, India in November 1976.

During the academic years 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98, & 1998-99, assisted students in Materials’ Engineering on the Research Work titled ‘Ultrasonic Properties of Gamma Radiated Polyethylene’.

In the academic year 1997-98, I offered my guidance to the graduating students of Mechanical Engineering working on the Project titled ‘Effect of Sand Additions on the Mechanical Properties of Polyethylene’.

I played very important role in getting ISO accreditation for tensile testing & hardness procedures of Mechanical Testing Laboratory in 2008-09.

I had conducted a short course on Failure Analysis for the employees of  Qatar Petroleum in February 2015.
