His research interests lie in the area of vibration and structural dynamics with applications to the oil and gas industry and transportation sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining QU, Dr Renno\u00a0was the Technical and Business Development Lead of the Department of Dynamic Engineering in Doosan Babcock where he led investigations and proposed solutions to vibration problems in the oil and gas industry. His experience includes working in the North Sea (both the UK and Norwegian sectors), UAE, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Before working in industry,\u00a0Dr Renno held a Lectureship in Structural Dynamics at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton\u00a0and was also Fellow of the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Renno is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the UK Institute of Mechanical Engineers (CEng FIMechE) and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Dr Renno is also an Associate Editor for the <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/journal\/42417\">Journal of Vibration &amp; Engineering Technologies<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;
