In the transportation sector, vibration has a huge impact on the competitiveness and durability of vehicles. This is not only driven by the increasing customer demand for vibroacoustic comfort, but also by the tightening legal regulations regarding noise and vibration emissions and immissions. In other sectors, vibration can lead to fatigue of components and possibly their failure. In the oil and gas sector, such failures can lead to unacceptable environmental incidents with the associated loss of containment of hydrocarbons. Thus, understanding vibration, modelling it and assessing its effects is business-, safety- and environmentally-critical.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;
