Hend is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the College of Business and Economics. Prior to joining Qatar University, she successfully defended her PhD thesis, in the area of Accounting and Finance at Kingston University London. She obtained her Master of Accounting from Qatar University and her Master of Research in Business and Management Studies from Kingston University London where she graduated with Distinction. Hend’s research focuses on understanding managerial incentives underlying financial reporting decisions and reporting recognition practices. Her recent research papers are published in the Journal of Applied Accounting Research (ABS 2*), Review of Accounting & Finance (ABS 2*) and presented at the European Accounting Association (EAA) 43rd Annual Congress. Hend has a two-year professional experience and around seven years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Hend was involved in several administrative roles in strategic planning and departmental work for the College of Business and Economics in Qatar University.
