Hayat Al-Jabiry is an environmental science that dedicated her academic career to the peruse of the different field in the environmental research. She completed her Bachelor degree in 2012 as a first student to graduate from Environmental science-biotechnology in Qatar University.

She worked as an environmental researcher in ExxonMobil Research Qatar, where she was involved in in-going projects related to Qatari environment. Also, managed the lab inventory list and chemical waste. Participated in analytical instrument installation and commissioning. Participated in writing risk assessment.

Later on, she joined Qatar University as Teaching assistant, where I assisted the teaching faculty by instructing lab sessions for Biology I, Monitoring & Toxicology, and Ecology. Giving and correcting coursework and exams. Preforming administration tasks and helping with outside relations with different institutions. She Participated in ExxonMobil & ESC project 2013 as a water re-use researcher “Phytoremediation of Toxic Metals and Petroleum Products from Wastewater and Soil of Gas Fields in Qatar

She completed her MSc. Degree in Environmental studies at Loughborough University in the United Kingdome in 2016 with distinction. Where the she gained experience in:

She later on completed her Ph.D in Environmental science at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom in 2022, where her research was focused on Hydrogeochemistry, Microbiology and social study of the lagoons and wastewater management in Qatar. Where she planned the scope for her research, conducted the fieldwork, designed her own statistical analyses for the different data types in her research. She collaborated with Ashghal, KAHRAMMA, MME, Qatar University, and Sidra hospital to be able to commission the research and analysis the collected samples.

Now she is working as an Assistant professor at Qatar University, where she will continue on teaching and being a member in Schedules and Teaching Load Committee Members, as well as collaborating with other professor in the department and outside the department for future research endeavours.
