{"id":12,"date":"2022-08-31T10:16:19","date_gmt":"2022-08-31T10:16:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/fnaemi\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2022-08-31T10:16:20","modified_gmt":"2022-08-31T10:16:20","slug":"professional-experience","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/fnaemi\/professional-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"Professional Experience"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>2020 \u2013 2021 Students Affairs Division Dean at CCQ<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Set up a strategy to ensure students services are provided properly during the<br>pandemic according to a timeline and in accordance with the College\u2019s Strategic<br>Plan.<\/li><li>Set up a partnership with Mada to launch the assistive technology station to support<br>students with special needs<\/li><li>Set up the policies and procedures to review the students at risk standing and to<br>make sure they receive the proper support to their success<\/li><li>Chaired the Student Academic Issues Committee that reviewed all students\u2019<br>complaints and grade appeals.<\/li><li>Set up the Student Disciplinary Committee and oversaw the committee\u2019s work.<\/li><li>Set up the budget for the Student Affairs Division to ensure the smooth operations<br>of the different departments at the Division.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2019 \u2013 2020 Science &amp; Technology Division Dean at CCQ<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Provided the VP with recommendations to assign department chairs for the Division<\/li><li>Followed up on class schedules and examinations schedules set up<\/li><li>Reviewed the annual performance evaluation of the faculty and Department Chairs<br>in the Division<\/li><li>Made recommendations for the academic recruitment needs<\/li><li>Presented a proposal to initiate the Data Analytics program to be offered by CCQ<\/li><li>Set up the Division Strategy in accordance with the College\u2019s Strategic Plan and<br>oversaw the departments\u2019 plans alignment with the Division\u2019s<\/li><li>Set up committees at the Division level to run the academic processes within the<br>Division in collaboration with the relevant parties at the College.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2018 \u2013 2019 Associate Dean for Academic &amp; Students Affairs at CCQ<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Established the committee system with roles and responsibilities across the<br>departments in the College.<\/li><li>Set up the Common Examinations conducting policies and procedures<\/li><li>Oversaw the Common Examinations process to ensure the general guidelines are<br>followed and to eliminate the cheating cases at CCQ<ul><li>Chaired multiple committees at the college to developed diverse policies and<br>procedures, for example Academic Recruitment, Teaching Load, Annual<br>Performance Evaluation, Course Scheduling, Books Purchasing, and Final Common<br>Exams to name a few<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2015 \u2013 2017 Head of Dept. for the of Biological and Environmental Sciences Department at QU<br><\/strong>Initiated the efforts to sign the following partnerships with a variety of entities in the<br>state of Qatar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>MOU between College of Arts and Sciences (Qatar University) and Faculty of Science<br>(University of Copenhagen)<\/li><li>MOU between CAS and Korea University &#8211;
