She joined the academic team in 2023, bringing a strong background in clinical practice and research to her role. Dr. Aya holds both a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Qatar University, graduating with high academic distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to her current role in academia, she served as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Sidra Medicine, where she was involved in direct patient care with a focus on pediatric pharmacotherapy. Her clinical experience in both pediatric and hospital pharmacy settings continues to inform her approach to teaching and support of students learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Aya\u2019s research interests include clinical pharmacy, antibiotic stewardship, pediatric medicine, and translational evidence in infectious diseases. She has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in these areas, including studies on COVID-19 management and the appropriate use of antibiotics in community pharmacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her current role, Dr. Aya supports the delivery of clinical and professional skills education, helping prepare students for patient-centered, evidence-based pharmacy practice.
