I am an Associate Professor of Statistics at Qatar University and Head of the Student Data Management & Statistical Consulting Unit. I am Chartered Statistician from the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) in the UK and certified as a Professional Statistician from the American Statistical Association(ASA) in the USA. I had BS and MS (2004) degrees in Statistics from Cairo University and MS (2006) and Ph.D. (2009) degrees in Statistics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech, USA). I taught at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science (Cairo University), Virginia Tech, and Oklahoma State University. Also, I worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as Assistant Vice President in Mortgage Banking and Business Banking Risk Management Sectors. I have published several research papers and delivered numerous talks and workshops. I received a couple of prestige awards from the ASA, American Society for Quality Control, Qatar University and Cairo University. My research interests include all aspects of industrial statistics and Economic Capital Models, including statistical process control, multivariate analysis, Regression Analysis, Exploratory and Robust Data Analysis, mixed models, Nonparametric and Semiparametric and profile monitoring.
