CURRENT RESEARCH
Using a qualitative approach and devising policy networks and the social network analysis techniques, my current research investigates the liberalisation and regulation of utility sectors including the rise of the regulatory state in developing economies and contested states. The examined sectors included energy, telecommunications, and water. The aim is to unpack and understand the regulatory politics of these vital sectors and the ways in which policy and regulatory networks can be managed and directed towards the achievement of the intended policy goals. Some of the research results have been published in academic journals and edited books [please see the publications section]. In the meantime, a special focus is given to regulatory developments in the context of utilises regulations in the developing countries.
