I am currently Assistant Professor in the department of international affairs at Qatar University. Before joining my position, I was IR Visiting Assistant Professor at Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College in Qatar. For last three years before coming to Qatar in 2017, I have been an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) in the UK since 2014. Before becoming AFHEA, I have completed my PhD in politics, specializing in the EU’s foreign policy towards the Middle East from the University of Exeter in the same year. My areas of interest range among the EU’s foreign and domestic affairs, international organizations, diplomacy, terrorism and resistance, in addition to other issues in international relations. I gained my BA and MA in international relations from the Birzeit University in Palestine. I have taught at several educational institutions since 1995 and have also participated and presented at several academic conferences and workshops. I have published numerous studies; the most important published by (Routlege-London & New York) at the outset of 2018 titled (EU Foreign Policy and Hamas: Inconsistencies and Paradoxes).  Furthermore, I have participated in different TV shows as a political analyst commenting on international affairs.
