Dr. Ammar Abulibdeh received his PhD degree in Geography and Environmental Management from University of Waterloo<\/a> in Canada in 2013.  He completed two masters from University of Waterloo, Master of Civil Engineering<\/a> in 2006 and Master of Economic Development and Innovation<\/a> in 2007 His bachelor degree is in Civil Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining Qatar University<\/a> as Assistant Professor in Geography and Urban Planning. He worked as Assistant Professor of Urban Planning at United Arab Emirates University<\/a> and as Assistant Professor of Geography and Urban Planning at Sultan Qaboos University<\/a>. He has advanced skills in spatial analysis and in using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) in his teaching and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Abulibdeh research focuses on smart urban planning and design, sustainable built environment, energy efficiency in urban settings, and social science including human behavior and consumers\u2019 preferences. He has published four book chapters, and a wider range of articles (more than 30) in top-tier journals (ISI-referenced) released by Elsevier, Routledge, and Taylor & Francis. He has participated in local, regional, and International conferences in more than eight countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
