In this role, I am committed to advancing our department&#8217;s mission of fostering academic excellence, nurturing future leaders in economics, and contributing to the economic development of Qatar and the wider region. My journey in academia, from obtaining a PhD in Economics and Finance to contributing significantly to economic research and education, has culminated in this opportunity to lead and inspire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">As the head of the department, I aim to build on our strengths in research and teaching, focusing on areas like Energy Economics, Behavioral Economics, and the dynamics of the GCC stock markets.
